Tilden is the East Bay’s all-day park. The merry-go-round and steam train are cheap; the trails, Lake Anza swim beach, and botanic garden are free. Fog sometimes sits below you. A better family default than most museums.
Park 5am–10pm. Merry-go-round and steam train keep separate hours.
